Vintage Royal Copenhagen Plates 2000 Christmas & Millennium Plates with Stands
Description
Royal Copenhagen 2000 Millennium Plates
The two plates shown are from the Royal Copenhagen "The Millennium Collection," which was created to celebrate the year 2000. This series included plates, plaquettes, and figurines released annually from 2000 to 2005. The plates were designed by Sven Vestergaard and feature the recurring characters, Frederick and Emma, who symbolize hope for the future.
Left Plate (Christmas Plaquette): This is the 2000 Christmas Plaquette, titled "Karrebaekfjord," which depicts a lagoon in Denmark. It is a small, round plate, often used as a butter pat or teabag holder due to its size.
Right Plate (Millennium Plate): This is the larger Millennium Plate for the year 2000. The design features Frederick and Emma looking up at a dove in a moonlit sky, with the year "2000" prominently displayed. This plate, along with the other pieces in the series, is a collectible item.
Both plates are in pristine condition and come with the stands as pictured. Please review the pictures, as they are part of the description. What you see is what will be shipped.
